The whole process of drone surveying has three main phases:
Data acquisition: a drone flies over the field, creating a true photographic scan, resulting in a series of images in both the visible and non-visible spectrum;
Data processing: using photogrammetric reconstruction software, all the images are processed and combined into a single image(orthophoto). Once an orthophoto has been obtained for each band that can be captured by the camera on board the drone (RED, GREEN,BLUE, NIR, RED EDGE), vigour maps are created using precise formulas.
Agronomic field visit and consultation with the farm operator: the company’s agronomist talks to the farmer to obtain additional information on production problems in previous years and anyanomalies in the homogenisation of production that he would like to correct.

NDVI index, commonly know as vigour index wich, based on a colour scale indicates the state of plant healt. Vegetation usually falls with in the value 0.3 and up, the higher the value, the healthier the plant. For low values associated in this case with the colour yellow and green, we expect stress in the plant, which can be caused by too much or too little water, fertiliser or a parasite attack.
